The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) has requested the Government of Serbia to provide an additional interpretation of the Decree on Limiting the Prices of Petroleum Products, because construction companies and craft breweries are experiencing problems in their business operations due to the interpretation of this decree which bans the pouring of fuel into cisterns at gas stations.

According to the website of the CCIS, the chamber has been addressed by construction companies which point to the fact that machines such as rollers, finishers, two-wheel tractors, bucket-wheel excavators and others cannot be transported to a gas station and that they instead need to be provided with fuel at the construction site.

Also, producers of craft beer point out that they are experiencing problems with the production, because these companies pour diesel fuel into small cisterns at retail gas stations and use that fuel for power generators in their production process. As Article 4 of the decree says that the delivery of petroleum products is done “exclusively by pouring into the fuel tanks of vehicles”, craft beer producers are worried about their production, because most of them plan to start brewing next week for the summer season.
