– We will base our strategy on production. What the energy costs abroad when we’re importing it, that’s what it will cost when we’re exporting it. That’s the way to make that balance, without increasing the price for the citizens – Tomasevic said on TV Pink.
He estimated that it would be irresponsible, due to the current crisis, and added that “whether there will be enough electrical energy is not in question”.
When asked whether the fact that Russia has taken nuclear power plants in Ukraine could have any consequences for Serbia, Tomasevic said that “it will not have any sort of impact”.
– We have our resources, and the fact that we are importing electrical energy at the moment is because we are protecting our field, so that there’s enough of it until the winter ends – Tomasevic said.
He emphasized that the supplying of consumers with electrical energy was absolutely certain “at the already defined price” and added that “what’s certain is that it will not change in the upcoming period”.
