Contract has been signed for the purchase of two Airbus C-295 Casa transport aircraft

An agreement on the purchase of two Airbus C-295 Casa transport planes has been signed in Madrid.

- Through this agreement, we have significantly strengthened our army. This will finally strenghten an important component of our overall aviation, the transport aviation. The plane will be able to transport 79 soldiers or 50 paratroopers. That is important for maneuvers and sabotage, transport of goods, tools, weapons - explained President Aleksandar Vucic, as per the official website.

It should be noted that Serbia's decision to buy two Airbus C-295 military transport planes was announced by the Minister of Defense Nebojsa Stefanovic at the Arms and Military Equipment Fair "Partner 21" in October last year.
