UNIQA achieved 32.45% growth in gross written premium

UNIQA insurance company in Serbia, a member of the namesake Austrian insurance group, has announced that it continued achieving the biggest growth in the insurance industry in Serbian market in the first six months of 2010.

According to the official data for the first six months of 2010, which have been published by the National Bank of Serbia, UNIQA achieved 32.45% growth in the gross written premium, while the average insurance premium growth in the market of Serbia amounts to 5.12% according to the official data for the first half of the year. Small changes in the nine-month report are also expected.

"By the end of the year, UNIQA is expected to keep achieving the biggest growth among top ten companies in the insurance market and to reach the market share of over 6%", reads the statement of that insurance company.

- In very complex economic conditions that also reflect in the stagnation of the insurance insurance in Serbia in real values, UNIQA insurance company continues the trend of growth that is significantly bigger than the average, which started in 2007 - Zoran Visnjic, the Chairman of the Managing Board and the Director General of UNIQA insurance company, said on the occasion of the announcement of the company's successful business results.
