One Step Closer to Construction of New Heating Plant Majevica in Novi Sad – Preliminary Design of Future Facility Soon

The PUE Novosadska Toplana has published the tender for the preparation of the preliminary design of the Majevica heating plant, and RSD 4 million is set aside for that purpose.

As announced earlier, Novi Sad plans to expand the capacities of the heating plant with the construction of new heating plants in Miseluk and Majevica.

The Majevica heating plant system would cover the area north of Vojvode Stepe Blvd, new facilities in Evrope Blvd, as well as a part of Jugovicevo. The idea is for this to be the first heating plant which will use biomass as fuel, but leaving the possibility of using gas as an alternative source.

The new heating plant, as said, will be built on a parcel of 7,325 square meters, which is currently an undeveloped green area.

The deadline for the submission of bids was February 8, and the planned deadline period for the preparation of the preliminary design is 60 days from the signing of the agreement.
