The prime minister announced that the construction of a concert hall and a home for the Belgrade Philharmonic, the Nikola Tesla Museum at the old power plant and the works on the old furnace facility, which will be turned into a creative center of the capital of Serbia, would begin in 2022 or 2023. She also announced that the construction of the Serbian History Museum would begin in September.
– We expect the new tender for the Belgrade City Museum, worth around EUR 25 million, to be published these days. At the next City Assembly session, we will take over the Culture and Art Association “Lola” and thereby get our own culture and art association, because a large number of people are active in preserving the folk traditions – the deputy mayor explained.
Let us remind that the tender for the Belgrade City Museum was terminated as the bids had been deemed unacceptable. Only one bid by a group of bidders had been sent. The details can be found HERE.
