Delta Holding Earns EUR 618.8 Million Last Year – Special Windmills in 2022, Delta Auto to Raise New Office Building, Ananas to Be Launched Next Week

– The pre-taxation operating profit (EBITDA) was EUR 63.03 million, which is 28.8% more than in 2020, and those are the most successful results since 2011, when we decided to exit the retail business by selling Delta Maxi – Vojvodic said and added that EUR 126.7 million was paid to the budget of Serbia in 2021.
According to her, Delta Agrar participated the most in the company’s income, with 42.3%.
For this year, Delta Holding announced the continuation of big investments in all the fields it operates in.
First, Dejan Jeremic, CEO of Delta Agrara, announced that the raising of special windmills whose purpose is to prevent the freezing of fruit in spring frost was planned on their properties for March.

– We are the first in the region to implement this plant-protection technology, which we will first install in our orchard, on 30 ha of an area where cherries are planted. The antifrost windmills are produced by the American company Orchard Rite, and Delta Agrar will be the representative for their products for Serbia from this spring – Jeremic said.
He said that, in 2021, EUR 28.5 million was invested in Delta Agrar and highlighted the new drying plant in Sombor and the new ULO cooling plant in Zajecar.
– In Zajecar, we completed the first phase of the cooling plant, and in two years it will be fully completed, so the overall capacity will be higher than 20,000 tons, and the total investment will exceed EUR 20 million – Jeremic said.
He stated that, in 2022, Delta Agrar planned investments of EUR 17.4 million and expected an income of more than EUR 300 million.
One of the most interesting planned investments of Delta Holding for this year is the one announced by Aleksandra Djurdjevic, CEO of Delta Auto Group.
According to her, in the second half of the year, the plan is to raise a new office building of Delta Auto, diagonally from the Delta City trade center, and the office building is to feature showrooms of car and motorcycle brands BMW, Mini, Honda and KTM. EUR 21 million will be invested in this facility on 15,000 m2, with a length of 225 meters.
She also said that, in 2021, Delta Auto had a sales growth of 15% with 24,100 new vehicles sold.
– Also, we are the first in the region with a new electric vehicle showroom concept at the Galerija shopping mall, The BMW Store, where we will present innovations by BMW, including virtual reality sales – said Djurdjevic.
When it comes to real estate, Angelina Nekic, CEO of Delta Real Estate, said that an investment of EUR 45.5 million was planned for 2022, of which the most will be put into the reconstruction of Sava Centar.
She reminded that, in 2021, the company finalized three big investments – the shopping mall in Nis, the new Hotel Indigo in Belgrade center and the Delta House office building, in which EUR 40 million was invested.

– This year, investments are planned primarily in Sava Centar and in Block 20 in New Belgrade (another hotel within InterContinental Group), in the completion of an e-commerce distribution center, and there will also be new projects – Nekic announced.

She also said that the plan was for the capacity of the large congress room of Sava Centar to be increased from 3,672 to 3,800 seats through the construction of lodges and for the hall in front of the room to be used as an expo space for the organization of exhibitions.
Lazar Petrovic, CEO of Delta DMD, said that the 25th anniversary of the operations of Delta’s distribution company in Serbia would be marked in 2022 and said that companies in Serbia and Montenegro had an annual income of around EUR 90 million.
Talking about the transportation sector, he said that the Delta transport system had an income growth of 52% in 2021, with an income of over EUR 65 million.
Marija Desivojevic Cvetkovic, Senior Vice-President of Delta Holding for Strategy and Development, reminded that Delta Holding celebrated its 31st birthday the next day and announced that Delta’s e-commerce platform Ananas would start operating the next week.
– In the next five years, the total investment will amount to around EUR 100 million and the plan is for it to expand to the entire region and to employ 900 people by 2025 – Desivojevic Cvetkovic said and added that well-organized logistics, cooperation with all courier services in Serbia and the large distribution center, whose construction started in 2021, would enable to the customers the next-day-or-sooner delivery.
She also announced the continuation and expansion of the Nase Selo (“Our Village”) project, a campaigned launched by the company in 2018 with the aim of aiding the survival of Serbian rural areas through interest-free or favorable loans for the financing of production.
– So far, the campaign has encompassed the Zajecar area villages of Dubocane and Mala Jasikova, and now the project is joined by Backo Novo Selo near Backa Palanka – Desivojevic Cvetkovic said and announced the project of the digital village Mokrin in cooperation with the BioSense Institute.
She added that Delta would continue investing in people and knowledge through the programs Kompas, Mladi Lideri and Delta Business Incubator for Startups, which, according to her, will be rebranded as D Incubator this year.
