Chinese Food Giant Visits Odzaci – Fufeng Group Looking Into Economic Potentials of This Municipality

The Municipality of Odzaci has been visited by a delegation of the Chinese Fufeng Group, which processes agricultural products. In addition to Chinese business people, the working visit to the Municipality of Odzaci also featured representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia. The topic of the meeting, according to the website of the local self-government, was to introduce the representatives of Fufeng Group to the economic potentials of the Municipality of Odzaci.

Fufeng Group Limited produces corn-based biochemical products using the fermentation technology. The company’s products include glutamine acid and xanthan gum. This is the biggest privately owned producer of this flavor enhancer and the second biggest producer of xanthan gum in continental China.

The president of the Municipality of Odzaci, Goran Nikolic, expressed the readiness of the municipality for cooperation.

The Municipality of Odzaci has two industrial zones, in Odzaci and Karavukovo, which were visited by the guests from China.

In the Industrial Zone Odzaci, the companies Magna Seating, Greiner Packaging and Hipol operate successfully. This industrial zone is fully equipped in terms of infrastructure and utility. There are electrical, gas, water and sewer installations, as well as a paved road in the industrial zone itself.

In the Industrial Zone Karavukovo, 123 hectares of land and the necessary electrical installations are available to investors, whereas the water network and the gas installations reach the border of the industrial zone. What makes this location especially favorable is the road and rail infrastructure and the proximity of a navigable water canal.
