Feature on Muckalica Dish Shown on Local TV Station in Japan

During the morning program of the “Asadesu” show on TV Kyushy Asahi KBC, which is broadcast in the city of Fukuoka on the island of Kyushu in Japan, a feature was shown about the beginning of the sale of the prepared Serbian dish “muckalica”, which is produced for the Japanese market by the company Matsubara Foods.

The presenter on TV Kyushu visited the company, whose seat is in Fukuoka, and talked to the director, Ippei Narahara, who emphasized the cooperation with the Embassy of Serbia on developing products ahead of the marking of the 140th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of Serbia and Japan, it is said on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the show, Tijana Nagato of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Tokyo talked about the characteristics of this traditional dish, which originates in the Leskovac area, known for the growing of peppers.

She expressed her satisfaction that the product is available for the first time in the Japanese market and that it is now easily available to the Japanese public. She expressed her gratitude to Matsubara Foods for choosing a Serbian dish to add to its range of products.
