Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) wants to enter the Croatian market, the Delo daily newspaper writes.

The biggest Slovenian bank needs the state to be oriented toward carrying out its plans in the Balkans, especially Croatia, so the chairman of the management of NLB, Blaz Brodnjak, met with the Slovenian minister of foreign affairs, Anze Logar, in early December, to discuss the issue.

Brodnjak points out that the bank wants to enter the Croatian market, but that this requires a political agreement between the two states.

– We are convinced that it can be achieved in changed circumstances – Brodnjak said.

Logar and Brodnjak talked about the plans of the biggest bank in southeast Europe and also about the strategic priorities of the state of Slovenia.

NLB is present in all countries of the region, except Croatia.
