Serbian companies at Meet the Buyer business meeting on October 7 in Belgrade

More than 20 multinational companies and about 200 Serbian enterprises will gather on October 7 at the Meet the Buyer business meeting in Belgrade, which is a unique event for the companies that seek domestic suppliers of goods and services.

Meet the Buyer is a part of the project financed by the European Union as an assistance to the competitive Serbian companies that are able to apply the standards of foreign companies and become a part of the chains of international suppliers. The Support to Enterprise Competitiveness and Export Promotion (SECEP) project, which organizes the event in association with the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, has confirmed that the following companies will take part as "buyers": West Pharmaceuticals, Merck, Coca Cola, Ball Packaging, Schneider Electric, Dytech, GSK, Lafarge, Metro C&C, Tigar, IKEA, and others.

It will be an opportunity for the companies from Serbia to directly meet with international companies, learn about their business needs and start business negotiations. The key aim of the SECEP project, which is financed by the European Union with 3.5 million euros, is to provide a support to the development of the market economy and social-economic cohesion in Serbia by improving the international competitiveness and export capacities of small and mid-sized enterprises.

The project is being implemented in association with the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, the Investment and Export Promotion Agency, the Office of the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and the National Agency for Regional Development.
