– Both our markets are small relative to global proportions. It is necessary to consolidate our markets and to all cooperate as neighbors, above all. We are now having direct talks between the two economies, which primarily aim to identify problems and then also launch initiatives for their solving. Our aim is an open market, because business knows no borders – said Milos Nenezic, the president of the Serbian Association of Employers.
– The problems in the relations between the two countries are evident, but it’s just as certain that it wasn’t employers who caused them. As two socially responsible organizations, we seek to solve problems and this meeting is the beginning of the work in that direction. Some things shouldn’t happen, such as having trucks wait for 2 to 4 fours at our borders, which is one of the topics we’re opening, but we certainly also want to discuss the overall improvement of the business environment, the solving of the question of employment in both directions, the employment of Montenegrin citizens in Serbia and of Serbian citizens in Montenegro – stated Predrag Mitrovic, the president of the Montenegrin Employers Federation.
The talks about the cooperation of the two employers’ organizations are held within the 21st assembly of the Serbian Association of Employers, which is also attended by a delegation of the Montenegrin Employers Federation.

The price of electricity for the economy was also discussed at the session.
It was warned that the announced price increase of more than 100% would cause a domino effect, through an increase of the price of goods and services and the consequent lowering of the citizens’ living standard, which would render futile the effort and the work toward increasing the minimum wage, reports Beta.
Also, they pointed out the necessity of lowering the fuel excite tax for companies which operate in transport and in order to facilitate the operations of numerous craft shops which will be affected by the new electronic fiscalization.
