Peconi – owner of Pancevo-based "Ratar"
The representative of the Association of Minor Stockholders of Pančevo-based company "Ratar", Milan Savić, announced that the minor stockholders of that company had asked the Privatization Agency and Share Fund for help and pressed charges to Pančevo-based Secretariat for Internal Affairs due to irregularities in the privatization of that company.
Over 1,000 minor stockholders are not satisfied with the procurement of majority package of stocks of their company at extremely low price. There is suspicion that about 10 stocks, mainly property of the leading circles, were sold at double higher price - said Savić.
The price of stocks on the stock exchange is very low for this renowned company – only 3,500 CSD. At one moment, the price rose to 6,500 CSD and the leading circles sold their stocks at that price.
"Ratar" is bitter because Share Fund, neglecting State’s interests, sold all 9,500 stocks of Pension and Disability Insurance Fund and 15,000 earlier stocks of total of 29,000 at price of 3,500 CSD. Majority package of stocks (51%), is now in the hands of – Zemun-based "Monus" and "Invej", owned by Predrag Ranković Peconi, and Belgrade-based "Intersig". The procurement was carried out without public offer.
