It is assumed that the reduction of flights is down to the unfavorable epidemiological situation in Serbia and the constant restrictions and mandatory testing, which also entails a lower demand for these flights. It should also be reminded that Serbian nationals are currently forbidden from entering the territory of Sweden, whether vaccinated or not, due to the very difficult epidemiological situation in Serbia.
Wizz Air has suspended a total of 27 routes throughout the region. In addition to Nis, some flights from Skopje, Tuzla, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Ohrid, Podgorica, Pristina and Banjaluka have been temporarily suspended as well, and additional suspensions are possible, depending on the situation and the demand.
Let us remind that the low-cost airline carrier Wizz Air, aside from Vienna and Malmo, is regularly operating the three remaining destinations from the Constantine the Great Airport, namely, Basel, Dortmund and Memmingen, for the time being.
