Swiss Company Barry Callebaut Opens Chocolate Factory in Novi Sad

(Illustration) The Swiss company Barry Callebaut today opened a chocolate factory in Novi Sad, where over 100 people will work.
The construction of the factory in Novi Sad began in March 2020, and it will produce 50,000 tons of chocolate a year.
The opening of the factory was attended by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, who earlier announced that this would be the biggest chocolate factory in Southeast Europe.
The Swiss company got subsidies of EUR 14.2 million from the budget of Serbia for this investment.
Barry Callebaut is the biggest individual cocoa processing company in the world. It is headquartered in Zurich.
