Zajecar to get an athletic stadium, unique in this part of the Balkans

Director of the Serbian Athletics Federation (SAF) Slobodan Brankovic visited Zajecar and talked with Mayor Bosko Nicic in the City Administration about the project of building an athletics track, an athletic stadium and creating conditions for the development of athletic sports in Zajecar.

According to Slobodan Brankovic, the idea is to upgrade the existing stadium where FC Timok is currently playing and to make it into a genuine athletic stadium, which would be unique in this part of the Balkans and Europe, the city's website states.

- Unfortunately, in Serbia, and in the wider region, we currently do not have a competition-worthy athletic track, said Brankovic.
