International Arms Fair Partner 2021 This October at Belgrade Fairgrounds – Foreign Producers Expected Too

The tenth International Arms and Military Equipment Fair Partner 2021 will be held between October 11 and 14 at the Belgrade Fairgrounds, the Ministry of Defense announced.

– Over 70 large weapons and pieces of military equipment developed by the Military-Technical Institute, which it produces independently or together with the Defense Industry of Serbia, will be presented at the fair, namely: artillery-missile systems, air defense systems, modernized combat vehicles, new armored vehicles, aircraft, unmanned air and land platforms, anti-tank systems, fire control telecommunications systems, all-terrain vehicles, as well as various kinds of guided and unguided missiles. In line with the international character of the event, as part of the growing international military-technical and military-economic cooperation with partner-countries, including the Russian Federation, France, the USA, China, numerous developed countries in the West and friendly countries from the Middle East and Africa, we expect a considerable number of renowned foreign producers of arms and military equipment to appear at the fair this year – said the defense minister assistant for material resources, Nenad Miloradovic.

The assistant director of JP Jugoimport-SDPR for commercial affairs, Aleksandar Lijakovic, points out that that company, as the co-organizer of the upcoming fair, will present itself within the three business missions it has, as the carrier of the development and production of complex combat systems and ammunition, as the integrator of the Serbian defense industry in the global market and as the company which equips the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Internal Affairs with locally-made and imported products.

According to him, products developed and made by Jugoimport’s subsidiaries, such as Borbeni Slozeni Sistemi from Velika Plana, with a facility in Kursumlija, the Belom factory in Uzici, which produces small ammunition, Utva from Pancevo, as well as Kovacki Centar and the new Kapislana facility in Valjevo, will be presented at the Partner fair. Lijakovic also points out that the group of the dependent companies of Jugoimport-SDPR, in addition to the companies which are technological members of the group, also features Srpska Banka, as the company’s financial and strategic partner.

According to him, the fair is also an opportunity to present the group of Jugoimport’s subcontractors.

– This is a range of small and medium enterprises, without which we wouldn’t be able to work. They produce components and subsystems for our complex combat systems, including some more complex ones, like the automatic charger for Nora – Lijakovic emphasized and added that those companies contribute to the display of the overall efficiency and power of our defense industry.
