Matijevic Agrar Majority Owner of Mirotin Group – Purchase of Banat Oil Factory, Agricultural Company Sava Kovacevic, Ecka Fish Pond…

The company Matijevic Agrar, through its company MPZ Agrar, has become the majority owner of Mirotin Group from Vrbas, through the purchase of the edible oil factory Banat in Nova Crnja, according to Agrosmart’s findings and as has been confirmed for eKapija by the company.

With this, it has also become the majority owner of the following companies: Sava Kovacevic from Vrbas, the Mirotin Tisa mill from Savino Selo, Ribarsko Gazdinstvo Ecka from Lukino Selo, the Dana dairy from Vrbas, Agrovojvodina Komercservis AD from Novi Sad and Agrimax from Vrbas.

The company also owns Mirotin Energo, Mirotin Vet, Mirotin Invest from Vrbas and Mirotin Crna Gora from Podgorica.

According to Agrosmart, the Banat oil factory in Nova Crnja is present in the market with its main product, the Cvet Banata edible oil, and the raw materials sector is largely located in that part of Vojvodina. It is one of the five biggest oil factories in Serbia.

The agricultural company Sava Kovacevic is one of the formerly largest agrarian complexes. It was founded in 1946 and now owns nearly 4,000 hectares of land, around 50 hectares of orchards, a cow farm and a fattening cattle farm.

The Ecka fish pond is one of the oldest fish ponds in Europe, and the production of fish started in 1891. It spreads on around 2,000 hectares.
