Raising the milk premium by a dinar per liter would cost the state EUR 8.5 million, but it will still be raised, by three dinars per liter, for which a sum of EUR 25 million is to be set aside, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Blace.

Visiting the Lazar dairy in that place, he said that he was still deliberating between raising the milk premium or protecting the local market through importing quotas, but added that the quotas would cause EU representatives to complain.

He pointed out that, in addition to that, some protective measures for the local market were to be implemented, so that there would be protection from milk imports.
