National postal company and Serbian Railway to build 2031 km of telecommunications infrastructure alongside railway tracks - Investment worth 24.3 million euros

- Public companies Posta (postal company) and Serbian Railways will be building together 2,031 kilometers of telecommunications infrastructure alongside railway tracks - the Managing Board of PTT Serbia decided today.

According to the announcement, the investment worth about EUR 24.3m will be financed by Posta and Railways, while construction works will be carried out in phases, in accordance with priorities.

Both public companies are interested in building telecommunications infrastructure to modernize operations. Posta and Railways also plan to rent that telecommunications infrastructure and make incomes in that way.

The meeting of the Managing Board of PTT Serbia, at which the decision on the investment was made, was held in Guca, at the time of the 50th Trumpet Fair.
