The Commercial Court in Kragujevac has pronounced bankruptcy over the bankruptcy debtor Srpska Fabrika Stakla A.D. and ordered the bankruptcy supervisor to initiate the procedure of monetization of the bankruptcy property without delay.

The decision on the bankruptcy was displayed on the country’s notice board on July 12, and the explanation of the decision says that the submitting party of the Reorganization Plan, Corp Investments, withdrew its plan for the reorganization of Srpska Fabrika Stakla through a submission made on July 6.

As no new reorganization plan for the bankruptcy debtor was filed within 90 days, as proscribed by the law, the bankruptcy judge decided to pronounce bankruptcy.

Srpska Fabrika Stakla was founded in 1907 in the location which previously featured a textile factory in Pancevo, which burnt down in a fire. On its foundations, a group of Belgrade-based traders decided to open a glass factory, in which local capital was invested exclusively. The first factory had 14 containers for the production of hollow and pressed glass, and it employed 350 workers, mostly from the Czech territory.
