First Serbian Drone RV 20 Presented – Designed to Put Out Fires, Deliver Food, Carry Film Cameras…

The RV 20 aircraft, the first Serbian drone, with a load-bearing capacity of 20 kilograms, which can stay up in the air for 30 minutes, was presented at a cocktail event held on the occasion of the first anniversary of Pink’s research center “PR-DC”, where RV 20 was designed and made.

The first Serbian drone, fully produced in Serbia, was designed by mechanical engineers, that is, aviation engineers, and it will be able to carry out various missions, among which are fire-fighting, rescue of drowning persons, transport of medical drugs, food and water and similar activities.

The leader of the project, Milos Petrasinovic, clarified that the aircraft could be remote-controlled from a center within the city, being able to carry out the mission without a pilot.

– RV 20 can carry fire-fighting equipment, even without a pilot, automatically from a center in the city. It can deliver food, water, medical drugs, everything that’s needed in areas that are difficult to access when those products need to be delivered as soon as possible – Petrasinovic said.

He added that the aircraft could carry 15 extinguisher balls, which, he says, is the most recent system, where balls that open at an increased temperature and put out the fire are used.

– The aircraft can drop a rescue harness. In a rescue mission, there is a whole chain of people, one of whom may fail, and here, with this system, the point where the rescue harness needs to be dropped is determined, the aircraft takes off and the harness is released at the set point. Furthermore, it can also inform the Emergency Service and others – Petrasinovic said.

In addition to the presentation of the aircraft, the event marked the official start of the serial production of RV 20, and Petrasinovic said that the first 10 drones were meant for carrying film cameras.

As he said, such projects are realized in the world over five-year periods, whereas PR-DC, which was given a deadline of two years, did so in nine months.

PR-DC, according to the owner of Pink Media Group, Zeljko Mitrovic, is the result of a ten-year friendship with the Petrasinovic family, whose members are all engineers. In one year, the company also produced a drone with a load-bearing capacity of one kilogram, as well as an aircraft with a load-bearing capacity of 100 kilograms.
