Iradia in Sremska Kamenica exported 200,000 chickens to Egypt
- Two hundred thousand one-day chickens ready for fattening have been exported from Serbia to Egypt, which is a good thing for greater development of poultry farming business in Serbia - the Agricultural Association of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) assessed.
The export has been realized by Iradia from Sremska Kamenica, which did that with the assistance of its partners in Mladenovac, Belgrade, and Kovilj. Chickens were sent to Egypt on a special airplane, which was hired exclusively for that purpose.
"Reopening of the market of Arabian countries represents an opportunity for export of chicken meat and meat products, which we currently have in stock in Serbia", it is written in the statement by PKS.
According to the statement, "export of chickens is very significant because of excessive production in Serbia in 2010, which put manufacturers in a very difficult situation".
