A Step Closer to Construction of Heparin Factory in Leskovac – Negotiations with Chinese Investors Continue

The local authorities in Leskovac have continued the negotiations with a potential investor from China, a company interested in opening a heparin factory in this town in southern Serbia.

At an online meeting, there was talk about the regulations that the company needs to meet when it comes to the processing and the letting out of waste waters, because, as said on the town’s website, the investor has shown a major interest in the realization of this project in Leskovac due to the waste water treatment facility and the town collector.

The city administration says that, in the upcoming period, they are also expecting a visit by representatives of this Chinese company.

Let us remind that the mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, stated earlier that the Chinese company interested in building a factory for the production of the medical substance heparin had contacted them online and attributed this to the fact that the town on the Veternica river is the only one in Serbia with a waste water treatment facility.

Previously, it was announced that the Chinese company which produces medical products for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases was interested in opening a branch in Leskovac.
