We also believed that this kind of premium quality should be accompanied by the sort of packaging that is also special and that everyone would be able to gift with pride, thereby wishing good health to a person they care about. From handmade nests to 70 production entities in forests of Vrsac

They entered the beekeeping business in the early 1970s with several handmade nests built from carved-out wood. The property now features 70 production entities. In addition to those, they also have five entities where queen bees are bred.

– Queen bees are much more easily fertilized in smaller entities and are then ready for the large, production entities – they point out.

Depending on the weather, they say, honey yields usually hover around 20 kg per entity, if the season is good and the weather conditions allow for it.

The area where they maintain these beekeeping entities are the Vrsac mountains, with quality black locust and linden trees, entirely removed from traffic routes and protected from various forms of pollution.



– Fresh air from the Vrsac forests at an altitude of 320 meters allows for varied vegetation to grow, providing pollen preserved from the influence of any kind of chemical product. On the other hand, the alteration of the extremely rainy periods and hot days in the past years has not benefited adequate grazing periods, because the influence of the weather conditions is still crucial for its volume – they say.

Step by step towards new successes

They want to bring real honey closer to their customers and make it more available, as well as to expand their range of products to include royal jelly and more varied healthy combinations of dried and pit fruit.

– We don’t want to go too far with mixing various ingredients, because we believe that high-quality honey should first be used in its native form, and that it only makes sense to add other ingredients to mixed honey, which is of lower quality, so as to increase its value. We plan to offer Pravi Med to the foreign market, as well as many other brands, but, as always, success requires gradual, honest work, which takes time, so we are taking things step by step – they conclude.
