Fruit Logistica to Open in 2022 – Applications for Exhibitors at one of World’s Biggest Fairs Begin

One of the world’s biggest fairs – Fruit Logistica, following a hiatus due to the pandemic, is to re-open next year, the organizers announce. According to the current plan, it should be held between February 9-11, 2022, in Berlin, and all interested exhibitors have been invited to apply.

– Last year, we were stopped by the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, thanks to the availability of the vaccines, an increasing national immunity and a drop in the number of the infected, we have a positive view of the future and we finally want to organize the event live – the organizers announced.

This event, which is held on an area of close to 145,000 m2, brings together producers of fresh fruit and vegetables. However, it is also a place for various importers, exporters, retailers and wholesalers, experts in the packing and handling of fruits, transport, logistics and all those who comprise said sector.

Last year, five producers from the neighboring Croatia exhibited at Fruit Logistica, held in February.

Each year, there are more than 3,000 exhibitors and close to 80 thousand visitors, looking to realize their full business potential in international trade of fresh products. Also, there is a traditional selection of the idea with the best potential, called the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award (FLIA). This is an acknowledgment awarded to the most prominent innovations in the entire fruit and vegetable supply chain – from the production to the sales point.
