The “One Belt – One Road” laboratory of the Shanghai Materia Medica Institute and the Institute for Biological Research Sinisa Stankovic in Belgrade will be run by representatives of China and Serbia.
The concept of the founding of the joint laboratory brings together the research capacities for the development of the implementation of natural products in various spheres, primarily in developing new medicines and medical products which are based on natural resources, while preserving biological diversity and securing sustainable development, it is clarified.
In addition to the optimal use of scientific research staff, the laboratory’s operations will also ensure the upgrade of the research infrastructure, the press release says.
