We will soon get a floating facility for the production of hydrogen on the Sava or the Danube, which will produce this energy source from water, said the assistant minister of mining and energy, Zoran Ilic.

– It is a floating platform on the water surface, which will consist of 110 reservoirs for hydrogen, of 50 cubic meters each, above which there would be various facilities powered by wind, solar energy, or combined, for the production of electrical energy which will be used in the process of electrolysis from which hydrogen will be produced – Ilic said at the expert gathering called “Hydrogen Strategy of Serbia”, organized by the Energija Balkana internet portal at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade.

Ilic added that the surface of the platform would be around half a hectare, so that there would be space for all the planned equipment and that it would be made entirely of wood, including hydrogen reservoirs.

He emphasized that the platform would simultaneously filter the river water used in the production of hydrogen in the spot it is located in.
