Serbia Gets 153,000 New Trees Thanks to “Plant a Tree” Project – Green Light for All Future Endeavors

With the planting campaign in Kraljevo, the second cycle of the “Plant a Tree” project has been completed successfully, and Serbia now has 153,000 trees more than in 2019, when the campaign was launched. Adria Media Group and dm drogerie, together with their institutional partners: the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management – Department for Forests, the PE Srbijasume, the PE Vojvodinasume, the Pokret gorana Srbije organization, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, the Jevremovac Botanical Garden, the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade, and the Forestry School of Kraljevo, thanks everybody who took part in the campaign, because, according to them, it is a success of us all, benefiting the country we live in.

– We are proud because we have achieved a lot, not just when it comes to the number of saplings planted and the hundreds of kilograms of seeds collected, but also when it comes to raising the awareness of the importance of this topic and the responsibility of each individual. We believe that, with the help of our employees and volunteers, we have created a new energy and showed by example that even a difficult year full of various challenges, the kind of which is behind us, is not an obstacle to accomplishing the right goals. With each day, we are growing more aware of the importance of the nature and its significance to people’s lives and it seems that we are increasingly ready to give our own contribution, which is extremely important. There are years of indifference behind us and it will take a lot of time, effort and work in order to achieve positive results. We are therefore continuing with the “Plant a Tree” project. There’s plenty of work, and we always appeal for a responsible approach to nature, because, without it, there’s no future – stated Ana Aleksic of the management of Adria Media Group.

– The dm company has been fostering an ecological tradition for years, originating in a business philosophy based on sustainable development. Through numerous activities and projects in this field, we continue developing the awareness of the importance of environmental protection. The “Plant a Tree” project is something we are especially proud of, because it shows our dedication and sacrifice in this segment. We see the biggest contribution in the fact that we have also incited other companies, but also individuals, to launch similar initiatives and take part in the forestation of our beautiful Serbia.
