Following Bela Crkva, Czech Company Announcing Construction of Plastic Car Component Factory in Vrsac Too – Investment Worth EUR 15 Million and Jobs for 150 People

The company IMG Manufacturing will invest EUR 15 million in the construction of facilities for the production of plastic components for the automotive industry in the location of the Science-Technology Park in the industrial zone in Vrsac. This is the first greenfield investment of the Czech Republic in the production sector of Serbia.

The Czech company IMG Management, registered in Serbia as IMG Manufacturing, is to build this factory of over 6,000 square meters on 1.3 hectares of land in three phases. The designing of the entire complex has been entrusted to the design studio Biro Plus, which operates as part of EuroCons Group from Vrsac.

The general manager of IMG Manufacturing, Michal Grusz, says that the beginning of the construction of the first production hall is planned for July 2021.

– We are planning to begin the construction of the first production hall in July 2021 and finish the whole facility by the end of this year, and then we want to finalize the entire investment by 2025 at the latest and to complete all three production halls – Grusz says.

The first phase entails the production of plastic parts, plastic reservoirs and containers. In the second phase, plastic plates are to be made, whereas the third phase entails the production of plastic parts for the automotive industry.

– The total planned investment is worth EUR 15 million, and we plan to employ 150 people, of which 20 in the first phase. We have started selecting the employees. Due to the fact that quality comes first for us, we will train the first employees in Serbia at our facilities in the Czech Republic before the completion of the first production hall in Serbia – says Grusz, as reported by the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

Let us remind that the Czech company IMG Bohemia, also part of the IMG Management Group, announced in August 2020 that it would also build a facility for the production of plastic components for the automotive industry in Bela Crkva.

After meeting with the authorities of Bela Crkva, it was announced that the investor would invest 10 to 14 million euros and employ more than 200 people, also to be trained in the Czech Republic.
