Draft Law on Belgrade Subway to be Discussed at Government Session on Thursday

Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali has said that the working group will confirm the draft law on the Belgrade subway today, which will be on the agenda of the Government of Serbia’s session this Thursday.

– This is a law that will define not only the process of the construction, but also the process of the management of the Belgrade subway – Mali said for TV Happy.

He pointed out that the process of expropriation of land in Makisko Polje, where the depot, that is, the garage for the subway system, will be located, was being completed.

He said that, by the end of 2021, the construction of the first subway line would begin and that the construction of the second line would begin in 2023, meaning that two lines should be operational by 2030.
