Construction of Drinking Water Factory in Backi Monostor Close to Completion – Facility to Deploy Technology Never Before Used in Serbia

– The drinking water factory will operate using the closed-system principle, where the whole process is rounded and where not a single drop of water is wasted, instead being brought back into the system for processing – Kubatov said.
The mayor of Sombor, Antonio Ratkovic, pointed out that the works were going as planned and that the deadlines would be complied with.
– We honestly expect that this filtered water should start being introduced to the system in early June and that the residents of Backi Monostor should finally start getting drinking water. This year, we also got funds for a booster station in Stapar from the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry and we expect the works on the construction of this booster station to start and that, in addition to the residents of Monostor, the residents of Stapar and Doroslovo would finally get drinking water in their populated areas – said Mayor Ratkovic.
