For the first time in 10 years, train travel in Serbia becomes more expensive - Ticket prices increased by about 15%

A trip from Belgrade to Nis in the first class now costs 1,413 dinars, while a ticket for the second grade costs 962 dinars. From Belgrade to Valjevo, the ride costs 726 dinars, while the lower category is 504 dinars. The ticket for the route Belgrade - Uzice is 1,122 dinars for the first and 768 dinars for the second class. From Belgrade to Vrsac, the cheaper ticket is 430 dinars, and for the first class 615 dinars, whereas for the ride to Sid in the first class you would need to pay 737, and in the second 511 dinars. A trip between Novi Sad and Subotica now costs 726 and 504 dinars, respectively.
Spokespeople from the company Srbija Voz say that the prices have changed for the first time in ten years, and that in the meantime a lot has been done to keep the trains clean and to turn them into a reliable mode of transport. The company points out that tickets purchased before April 10 can be used until the expiration date without additional payment.
