The Swedes held very interesting seminar in Belgrade on access to financial means of EU and business opportunities between Sweden and SCG
On Friday, November 25, Exportradet (Swedish trade Conucil) and Embassy of Sweden in Belgrade held very interesting seminar in Hyatt hotel Belgrade on business opportunities between SCG and Sweden, as well as on possible sources for financing of cooperation between the two countries. Moderator of the meeting was Lars-Goran Engfeldt, the ambassador of Sweden to Belgrade. The seminar gathered following lecturers :
Mr. Jocić, in the name of the Ministry of Capital Invesments of Republic of Serbia, who represented projects, plans and investment opportunities of Serbia, mainly in field of transportation, energy, free zones and environment protection;
Lars-Olof Lindgren, State Secretary for Industry and TRade of Sweden, who represented perspectives and development of business relations between Sweden and Western Balkans;
Radovan Jelašić, Governor of National Bank of Serba, who represented financial system and advantages related to investments in Serbia;
Zoran Rubinjoni, in the name of the Directorate for Building Land and City Parliament, represented big investment opportunities of Belgrade, free elite location, investment in sewerage systems and wastewater treatment systems, capital transportation facilities (very interesting lecture)
Gunnar Kinga, Minister, permanent representatives of Sweden in EU, who represented financial sources, funds and projects that can be of use for the countries in the Western Balkans,
Daniel Guiglaris, European Agency for Reconstruction Belgrade, who spoke about present and future projects.
Ulf Hindstrom, EBRD, European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development Belgrade, who represented activities and plans of EBRD on this territory;
Ulf Westergard, Nordic Investment Banka, who represented plans of this institution, which appeared in SCG recentlry,
Goran Alback, Volvo Financial Services International, who spoke about “financial lesson”, which Volvo obtained in the region of Western Balkans.
Numerous representatives of local institutions, almost entire “Swedish economic colony” in Belgrade and potential investors, who were all participants in the seminar, expressed their wish and support to the Embassy and Exportradet Belgrade to continue such projects related to contacts, gatheringa and education, in order to find new models of operations.
