Application for Half of First State Minimum Wage Until March 31

Applications for the third economy stimulus package, which entails the payment of half the minimum wage over three months, are in progress, and the companies which opt to use this help need to submit a statement on the acceptance of direct payment through the e-Porezi portal by March 31 for the payment for April 2021.

The statement is made separately for each month’s payment, in the month preceding the month for which the payment is made and no later than the last day of the month.

The payment is made through the special-purpose account opened for that purpose at the Treasury Administration. The special-purpose account is open at the bank which runs the current account of the business entity, and if the company has current accounts open in several banks, it is obliged to file the information about the name of the bank where the COVID account is to be opened, through the electronic services of the Tax Administration, no later than March 25, 2021.

The business entity can also lose the right to receiving the aid if it reduces the number of employees by more than 10% within a month of the last payment. Also, the companies which pay dividends by the end of 2021 have no right to receive this aid. The details about the terms of the use of the third package can be seen in a separate article.

The first payment, as announced, is expected on April 8.
