Infrastructural Equipping of New Industrial Zone North in Vrsac to Begin

The infrastructural equipping of the Industrial Zone North, which will be located on the international road to Romania, with an excellent strategic position next to the Belgrade-Vrsac-Timisoara international railway, should begin soon.

The mayor of Vrsac, Dragana Mitrovic, recently signed the agreement on the financing and the co-financing of projects for the construction of the water supply system between Vrsac and the Industrial Zone North at the Government of Vojvodina.

The total value of the project is RSD 84.3 million, of which, according to the signed agreement, a half is to be co-financed by the Department for Capital Investments of Vojvodina, whereas the other half is to be provided from the budget of the City of Vrsac, as said on the city’s website.

– The construction of the water supply system to the location around 5 km away from Vrsac marks the beginning of the infrastructural equipping of the Industrial Zone North and with that the realization of one of the most important projects for Vrsac. The construction of the Industrial Zone North is a priority for the local self-government, because it is a precondition for the arrival of new investors, which will enable the creation of new jobs and the further development of our city and the entire region – Mitrovic stated after the signing of the agreement.

It is known that, in the first phase of the construction, the zone will take up 22 hectares, but there’s a possibility of it being extended to 200 hectares.

“North” will be the second industrial zone in Vrsac, after the Technology Park, whose capacities are filled out.
