Pressed Sausages from Pirot Among Exotic Specialties to be Exported to Turkey

The Zoom presentation of products for potential export to the Turkish market is organized by the Association of Producers of Meat Products from Izmir, Manisa and Turgutlu, under the sponsorship of the Directorate for Food and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey.
Of the Serbian producers, only this year’s winner at the Pirot Pressed Sausage Fair, Ninoslav Stojadinovic, was invited. He has confirmed his participation in the presentation and will send a sample of his product to Turkey on February 15.
Following the presentation, a chemical analysis of the product samples and their composition and then an organoleptic assessment are to be done. The rating commission will feature seven Turkish gastronomy specialists, experts when it comes to meat products.
A total of 17 producers of exotic specialties were invited to the presentation. The products include dried beef and mutton sausages from Kyrgyzstan, dried donkey meat and donkey sausages from Greece and the “Sheftalia” lamb sausages from Cyprus.
Producers of reindeer sausages from Finland, veal sausages with cheese from Ratingen, Germany, dried mutton and beef from B&H and dried elk meat from Norway have also been invited.
The competition also includes beef and rabbit sausages from Cyprus, smoked salmon from Ireland, lamb sausages with wine from France, the “Cervelat” rabbit sausages from Switzerland and dried mutton from Dalmatia.
