Dragan Bujosevic Appointed General Manager of RTS

The Managing Board of the Public Media Institution Radio-Television of Serbia (RTS) appointed Dragan Bujosevic general manager of RTS for a period of five years at today’s session, by a required majority vote. This will be Bujosevic’s second mandate at the helm of RTS.

Dragan Bujosevic was born in Belgrade in 1954. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Journalism Department. He was the editor-in-chief of Evropljanin and Politika, and he also worked in NIN as a journalist and deputy editor-in chief.

He has won numerous awards: the Politika Annual Award, the “Duda Timotijevic” Award for Contributions to TV Journalism in 2001, the BK Foundation Award for Journalism and Opinion Journalism in 2020, the “Stasa Marinkovic” Award of the Danas daily for analytical journalism in 2008.


Together with Ivan Radovanovic, he published the book Peti oktobar – 24 casa prevrata (October 5th – A 24-Hour Overthrow).

He was first appointed general manager of RTS in May 2015.

Throughout his mandate, RTS remained the most viewed TV channel, with a record set in 2017 – for 360 of the 365 days of the year, RTS was the most viewed channel.
