Documentation for TE-TO Novi Sad available prior to May 31 - nine companies expressed interest
The procedure for selection of the strategic partner for modernization and expansion of steam power plant - heating plant (TE-TO) Novi Sad has entered the final phase. Nine companies that have expressed interest and met the qualification terms have the opportunity to buy the documentation for preparation and submission of bids prior to May 31, 2010.
At the 7th meeting of the Administrative Board of Energija Novi Sad (ENS), which was held shortly before the May Day, the commission that is going to monitor the procedure and approve its results was appointed on the basis of the proposals given by the founders (the Electric Power Company of Serbia and the City of Novi Sad).
The members of the commission appointed on that occasion are Miloš Saramandić, CEO of Panonske TE-TO Novi Sad, Aleksandar Jakovljević, the Director of the Strategy Sector in the Directorate for Strategies and Investments at EPS, Josip Polc, the Technical Director of public utility company Novosadska Toplana, and Dejan Kovač, the Director of the Energy Agency of the City of Novi Sad.
In the process of additional capitalization of ENS Novi Sad, the joint venture of EPS and the City of Novi Sad, local partners (EPS and Novi Sad) intend to provide a land with existing infrastructure and power stations, while the selected strategic partner is expected to acquire majority share in ENS through additional capitalization and to have, in addition to necessary financial and operational capacity, the experience in building and running similar units.
According to the plan, ENS will be an independent manufacturer of electric and heating energy in mixed ownership, with the majority share in the possession of the strategic partner.
