TROX Air Purifier – Safe Solution for Virus-Transmitting Aerosols

Aerosols collect in the air when people breathe and talk inside closed rooms. Viruses can be transmitted through aerosols, so according to the German institute Robert Koch, they are the main transmitters of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes the COVID-19 disease. When it’s not possible to let enough fresh air in the room, aerosols, that is, particles full of the virus, often hover in the air for hours. In such cases, air purifiers are a good solution, as they are able to filter nearly 100% of the aerosols, whereby the risk of infection is reduced.

The TROX air purifier reduces to a minimum the risk of virus transmission through the air in rooms which are insufficiently aired and requires no complex installations. It is simply set up and switched on. The device filters over 99.95% of all aerosols containing viruses and enables a large number of changes of air, while being quieter and more economical than any other comparable device.

Optimal input of air above the head

A safe distribution of air – TROX air purifier introduces clean air above the heat. This way, the device can work at greater capacity as well, without the draught effect. This also avoids the direct mixing of the virus emitted by an infected person with the clean air that is inserted in the room.

Over 99.95% of all viruses filtered

A minimal risk of infection – TROX air purifier contains an efficient HEPA filter of the H13 class, such as, for example, filters used in operating rooms. This filter reaches the ideal degree of separation of 99.95%.

Combined with a pre-filter, this device is as thorough as a H-14 class filter, while being quiet, economical and not requiring demanding maintenance. Subsequent thermal or UV treatment is not required, because the viruses very quickly become inactive on the filter.

Cleaning air in larger rooms at medium strength

Even in larger rooms – TROX air purifier can filter up to 1,600 m3/h of air. No other device of this class has a bigger capacity. Already at the medium strength setting, it efficiently and quietly cleans the air from viruses in large rooms, such as, for example, restaurants or conference halls.

Quietest device in its class

Quiet operations – thanks to the patented double insulation, TROX air purifier is quitter than any other comparable device. Under the normal settings (air flow of 1,000 m3/h), it is about as a quiet as a computer fan, which makes it ideal for use in schools or offices.

47 m2 of filtering surface in one device

Extremely long-lasting air filters – unlike the conventional flat panel filtering plates, the filtering surfaces in the TROX air purifier take the form of a fan. This way, the filtering surface in a single device goes up to 47 m2. Thanks to the size of the filtering surface and the in-built pre-filters, the life cycle of a HEPA filter is substantially longer. According to hygienic guidelines VDI6022, the replacement of the pre-filters once a year is recommended, and the replacement of HEPA-filters should be done once in two years.

Consuming only 0.095 kW per 1,000 m3/h

Low consumption of electricity – you can safely leave the TROX air purifier switched on all the time. Despite its big capacity, the device consumes very little electrical energy.

Thanks to the energy efficient motors and the large filtering surface, the device spends less electricity on average than a 100 W bulb.
