Extension of Hotel Ramonda in Rtanj Begins – Additional 8,000 m2 to Feature Outdoor Pool, Spa Center, Rooms, Apartments, Underground Garage…

Hotel Ramonda on Rtanj, which opened last summer, is expanding its capacities by an additional 8,000 m2. The new facility should feature 35 accommodation units, a comfortable spa center, an outdoor pool, a large multifunctional hall, a restaurant, a lobby bar, an underground garage and playroom for children and a pool hall. The new part will be built in the style of the existing one, which will complete the unit of Hotel Ramonda, says Nikola Jakovljevic, the hotel’s director.

– The aim of the extension is for the additional capacities and features to stimulate the development of Rtanj as a tourist destination even further. The new part of the hotel, with close to 8,000 m2, will be connected by a heated corridor with the existing facility, which has been operating successfully for a year and a half now – Jakovljevic says.

The contractor is ZOP Inzenjering, and the completion of the construction is expected in two years. There are currently 70 employees at the hotel, and new jobs will be created with the new capacities.



– When the hotel is completed, which we hope will happen in two years at the latest, we will employ an additional number of workers, we will influence the upgrade of the current infrastructure of the place even more and there will be more cooperatives, so we will certainly be one of the very important factors of the development of the municipality of Boljevac – Jakovljevic points out.

As eKapija has already reported, the new hotel facility is envisaged as the 3rd phase of the construction (the first two entail the existing hotel facilities), whereas the merging with the existing facility would be carried out in two additional phases, Phase 4 and Phase 5 of the construction. Also, the urban plan envisages the possibility of setting up camping units within the complex’ garden, without requiring any special infrastructural features.

Let us remind that the Tourism Organization of Boljevac previously announced for eKapija the construction of a gondola on Rtanj and the arrival of some other investors.
