ATANASKOVIC: Focus on Bringing High-tech Companies

The Ministry of Economy will continue working on developing and modernizing Serbia as an investment location, and the focus will be on bringing as many high-tech companies as possible, said Serbian Economy Minister Andjelka Atanaskovic.

In an interview for Vecernje Novosti, she emphasized that an active policy of attracting healthy local and foreign investments would continue.

She added that there would also be efforts to increase the total productivity of Serbian companies and that an even stronger support would be given to beginners in business, the sector of small and medium companies and entrepreneurship.

The minister estimated that local and foreign investors in Serbia had the same rights.

– It is important to point out that it is foreign investors that bring a positive business practice, introduce a new quality to the Serbian economy and oblige the local companies that are in the supply chain to be better and to raise their standards – she stated.
