Sarajevo to Get High-speed City Route – Initiative for Urgent Design Agreed

Road maintenance in the Sarajevo Canton was discussed this Tuesday, October 13, at the premises of the PE Ceste FBiH.

The Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of the Sarajevo Canton, Faruk Kapidzic, introduced the attendees to the information related to the preparation of the main project of the high-speed city route on the section from Pofalici to the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo, with a connection to Prva Transverzala, the protocol and press service of the Sarajevo Canton announced.

It was agreed for the initiative to be sent to the Government of the FBiH as soon as possible so that urgent designing activities would be started, allowing for a timely harmonization with the Prva Transverzala project.

It was pointed out that the goal was to find as functional a solution as possible for the connection between said routes, which are of crucial importance for the life in the Sarajevo Canton and its development.

All the information and propositions for an upgrade of road maintenance in the Sarajevo Canton were shared by ministers Adi Kalem and Faruk Kapidzic, on behalf of the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo, and Selmir Kovac and Satko Filipovic, on behalf of the Road Directorate of the Sarajevo Canton, with the director of this federal company, Ljubo Pravdic, Nijaz Hadzikadunic, Gordana Kvasina and Fata Terzic, representatives of Ceste FBiH, and Gordana Cahtarevic, a representative of the Government of the Federation of BiH.
