The ministry, as said, has secured international financing through grants or loans for five cities – Kraljevo, Nis, Cacak, Kragujevac and Leskovac, where facilities for the processing of waste waters will be built and where the sewer systems will be expanded.
Currently, there are efforts to secure international financing through grants, donations or loans for projects of construction of waste water treatment facilities and expansion of sewer systems in Novi Pazar, Zrenjanin, Indjija, Stara Pazova, Vrnjacka Banja, Valjevo, Sombor and Sremska Mitrovica.
Projects on Kopaonik, in Ruma, Temerin, Petrovac, Pozarevac, Srbobran, Takovo, Osecina and Mali Idjos are also ready for investments, whereas investment documentation is being prepared in Krupanj and Negotin.
Projects for the construction of waste water treatment facilities are being prepared in Prokuplje, Gornji Milanovac, Kanjiza, Horgos, Lebane, Svrljig, Despotovac, Topola and Mionica.
– Together with other institutions in the country, the conditions have been met for the projects of construction of waste water and municipal waste treatment facilities to be able to be included in the Serbia 2025 plan, but also for the drawdown of money from the EU funds, for which, at the moment of the opening of Chapter 27, the main requirement are the projects – says the statement by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
A detailed overview (in Serbian) of the projects is available in this PDF file.
