Construction of first Tempo in Bulgaria started - investment worth 25m EUR

Construction of the first Tempo hyper market in Bulgaria and in the market of the European Union started today (March 23, 2010) in Sofia. This facility is planned to be opened in December 2010.
Piccadilly, the company that operates within Delta Maxi Group, is going to invest 25 EUR in the construction.
- The foundation stone for the hyper market was laid by the Deputy Mayor of Sofia, Minko Gerdžikov, and the CEO of Piccadilly, Aleksandar Čamparević - Delta announced today.
In that facility, the biggest within Piccadilly's retail network, 500 people will get jobs, while the product range of the hyper market in Sofia's downtown, at total surface of 30,000 sqm, will include about 60,000 products.
People form Delta Maxi Group announced that, by the end of the year, Piccadilly would invest 80m EUR in expansion of the retail network in Bulgaria, which comprises 25 facilities in ten cities.
Piccadilly became a member of Delta Maxi Group in 2007, which bought remaining 15% of capital in 2009 and, thus, became the owner of 100% of that market chain.
