Golubac Fortress records over 100,000 visits in four months

Since the relaxation of epidemiological measures, in the last four months - from May 9 till September 10 – Golubac Fortress had 104,560 visitors, National Tourism Organization of Serbia (NTO) announced on its website. They added that 110,757 visitors came to Fortress since the beginning of 2020.

Those were mostly individual visits. In compliance with the measures of the municipal state of emergency response team , the complex banned group visits while the maximum number of visitors in the open area was limited to 500 individuals at the same time.

– In addition to these measures, both visitors and employees had to wear masks, disinfection barriers were provided and there was required disinfection upon entering all indoor spaces. Indoor facilities are disinfected routinely and the Voluntary firefighting team from Golubac carries out disinfection of the outdoor areas on a regular basis, NTO said.

Unless the coronavirus protection measure are strengthened again, group visits are planned to resume at the end of September, NTO states.
