– The Tax Administration has examined fiscal cash registers in over 500 bakeries in Serbia in the past 10 days and there were irregularities in over 60% of them, pertaining to not issuing fiscal receipts and not registering the workers. In Belgrade, the percentage is over 70% – Mali said in an interview for Politika.
He said that, of the 508 controlled outlets, irregularities had been determined in 307. Mali appealed to the citizens to require the receipt at every purchase, because the money collected that way and through the VAT is used to build hospitals, schools and highways.
Mali pointed out that, when it comes to the collection of revenues, the collection of domestic VAT was better than planned in the budget rebalance, and that the revenues from income tax and salary contributions for August were also higher than expected.
