TripIt, an App Which Lets You Search Nearby Medical Institutions While on a Trip

The company Concur has designed the app TripIt, which runs with the help of Google. The app is ready to help everyone stay safe, enabling them to search the nearby medical institutions. In addition to hospitals, the app includes pharmacies, clinics and laboratories within its map.

– Everyone wants to feel prepared before they hit the road. And now, with health and safety guidelines and the travel landscape changing constantly, preparation is even more stressful – said Jen Moyse, the company’s director of product.

The TripIt app also includes a center which is regularly kept up to date with all the important Covid-19 information.

Within the app, all users will be able to check waiting times at the airports, thanks to Google's “Nearby Places” feature, which is functional worldwide. Also, it enables passengers to plan their trips in advance, so that they can use the app outside the network.

Furthermore, Moyse said that the company had founded the Traveler Resource Center “to help travelers better understand and manage travel changes due to COVID-19”. The center features everything from public health advice to airline carriers' rules pertaining to COVID-19.

– We connect travelers with the latest travel advisories, restrictions and guidelines, along with other helpful resources, so they have the information they need before they head back on the road – Moyse added.
