Agrobanka turned profit of 1.25bn RSD in 2009
- Agrobanka achieved good business results in 2009 in spite of the global financial crisis and turned profit of 1.258bn RSD - the Belgrade-based bank announced.
Agrobanka's total balance sheet exceeded 59bn RSD at the end of 2009, which is 49% more than at the end of 2008.
Last year, Agrobanka's capital grew by 1.2bn RSD or 8.3%, while the turned profit represents a good result and the proof rational operations when having in mind the difficult conditions for business.
Total deposits of Agrobanka exceeded 40bn RSD at the end of 2009, which means that they were 77% bigger than at the end of 2008.
Significant growth of deposits enabled increase in investments by nearly 11bn RSD or 43%, and they reached 36.2bn RSD at the end of last year.
Agrobanka announced that it had reached the satisfying levels of Dinar and foreign currency liquidity in 2009, as well as that it had opened six new offices, thus increasing the number of offices to 139, and expanded the network of ATMs and POS terminals.
Number of Dina and Visa cards issued by Agrobanka was increased by more than 10,000 in 2009, reaching the number of 150,000 at the moment.
Total saving deposits in last year grew by over 100m EUR, and they currently amount to about 250m EUR - it is stated in the bank's announcement.
