He expressed hope that this would provide additional support to the economy of Serbia, for which purpose RSD 18.4 billion will be set aside from the state budget.
– As we've announced, each employee will get around EUR 155. This is a measure within the second economy stimulus package that the government adopted on July 30 in an attempt to ameliorate the consequences of COVID-19. The package is worth RSD 66 billion – Mali said, as announced by the ministry.
The minister reminded that one of the biggest changes compared to the first economy stimulus package was that the second one was also directed at business entities founded after March 15, 2020.
– An additional value of this package is that it also pertains to companies founded after March 15 and no later than July 20, which means that this measure is a kind of support to beginners in business, and we believe that there are plenty of young people among them – Mali emphasized and added that, according to the Business Registers Agency, there were 13,550 such companies.
He added that the money would be paid to those newly founded companies in September, in the amount of 120% of the minimum wage per employee.
